Technology!
So, how much technology is too much technology? And just because it exists, does that mean that it should be used? Have we evolved past the ‘natural’ state? Is technology ubiquitous, and if not, how do we know which technologies are helping and which ones are hindering us?
One of the best book I’ve read on these questions is the book Better Off, Flipping the Switch on Technology by Eric Brende, a graduate student at MIT who goes to live for a year with the Amish, to determine just how much technology is too much. It’s a great read, and will make you long for the way of life he finds (and you’ll be surprised where he ends up finding what he’s looking for…)
a couple of other books I’ve read on the topic:
oh, I’m sure there’s others but I’ll leave it there…
Stay tuned for more breastfeeding incidents than you thought possible (just when it was quiet, too quiet!)
Love,
Heather
