This is so true. I am like many mother’s on here. Unemployed but your comics are great. They are such an inspiration when a mother is feeling low. I can’t thank you enough for putting your time and energy into doing these. I know that doesn’t pay for the hours you put in or anything else but you are blessed to have such talent.

A question mark is a MUCH nicer way of reacting to those contraptions to carry the carseat buckets than mine was, which was shock and laughter.

I LOVE IT! It is so true too!

I’ve got four kids and I slung my first two, then had a serious back injury. I can move my son’s “bucket” but I can’t sling him. Not all bucket moms fall into the same category. I have to use a stroller now too, it’s heartbreaking. Anyway…love your comics

Sarah, She doesn’t mean US! She just means those that never try AND yet feel the need to look down on the same.

look at this thing http://www.creativebabystuff.com/ and this: http://www.healthchecksystems.com/flying_falcon_products.htm WTH? Why not use a sling, because you may have to actually touch your baby?

Hi Emily,
the flying falcon was originally the motivation for these comics, what a riot, huh? wow! and the other link, man. Leave it to Americans, back hurt carrying that carseat? buy our product! Never mention that you don’t need to carry the car seat in the first place! I’d love to do a show of hands, how many mothers have gotten away with NEVER carrying their carseat?
I carried it around for the first month of my first daughters life. 3 of my kids have never been in one except in the car…
xox,
Heather

I got away with never carrying a carseat because I didn’t have a car..tee hee hee..but soon as I had a car I had a car seat..I also lived on the second floor of a hollywood apt with stairs like a mayan pyramid so I left carseat downstairs…But i did tear an intercostal muscle carrying baby and pounds of veg from farmers market in backpack all was not clouds and wisdom.

I could sort of see a use for the car seat holder things- if your baby was one of those who simply couldn’t tolerate being moved out of the car seat. Otherwise, WTH?
