In the middle of September, I went for a walk on the beach here and there was piles, mounds, heaps of plastic trash as far as the eye could see. Shocking. Then I went to the east coast and there was a red tide that burned your chest so much, you HAD to cough and going to the beach was miserable (though I still went and found 75+ shark teeth!). And then I came back to the west coast and everything went and caught on fire. And we had warnings not to go outside for days on end. I’m not saying it’s all connected. I’m just saying is all.

that is like some very scary eco-horror movie. it totally freaks me out. what are we doing to this planet? what are we leaving our children?

That’s just disgusting. I’m beginning to think that my trash-collecting, ultra-recycling, never-throw-anything-away boyfriend is not so crazy after all.

I can’t believe how “trashy” people are sometimes. Literally… We have a brand new Target here in our town and within 2 weeks of opening, if you go there at night after most people are gone home and the parking lot is empty, you see litter ALL OVER the place. It makes me sick.
