The Visual Dictionary of the Human Body omits the breast!
Okay so it mentions breast, but shows an exterior view. What about the insides? The milk ducts and what not? Why no mention of lactation? why no mention of mammary glands? Why doesn’t breastmilk enter the discussion? I really can not tell you the answer, so I made a poll! Perhaps we can get to the bottom of it all…and in the mean time if you want to ask them yourself, here’s the basic info!

All of the above Hathor, and one more: the human breast is the sexual property of men! and since humans are still instinctively programmed to feed from our mother’s breasts the men are Soooo confused. Now that I am thinking about it, there are two prevailing ideas about breasts. One is they are sex objects, and the other is they get cancer. Thanks for your ongoing campaign to tell the full glorious story of breasts!

And you know what? Breastfeeding reduces the risk of breast cancer (for the mother)

Did they make sure to include the gallbladder? Because you know that’s going to be much more useful to future mothers and fathers.

What an astonishing omission - I can’t wait to see their answer.
In the meantime, I am soooooooo glad to see how many people answered the poll - and to see how the votes went. I voted for the profit motive but I actually think all of the choices are true.
Sapphire_chan, your gallbladder comment got me laughing so hard I almost fell off my chair, lol!
