That is so very cool!
Happy birthday to your dd!
And I am bummed that I missed the chat. I got a reminder from mamachats and then forgot that this Wednesday was the 7th! What is up with the time lately? Could it go any faster? I was thinking the 7th wasn't until next week. LOL

Does that knot really hold for a long time? That looks so easy. I've always had the worst time with purchased ring slings not holding well - DS would just keep sinking lower and lower. Some sling-making mamas told me that the ones you make yourself, different fabric and different rings, usually don't slide as much.

That totally looks too simple! I bet I could even do it. How much material does it take?

You can do this without tying a knot, too: http://crafts.sleepingbaby.net/no_sew.html
It takes a little more length, but has the potential to be a little more comfortable (no knot to dig in).
