Universal Preschool!
It’s official.
California’s Secretary of State announced yesterday that
the Preschool for All Act has collected more than the 598,000 valid
signatures required for placement on the June ballot. In just five months,
California voters will decide on one of the smartest possible investments we
can make in our children, our K-12 schools and our state’s future.
“This is a great day for children in California,” said Rob
Reiner, the initiative’s chief sponsor. “This June, voters will have the
opportunity to improve California’s education system by ensuring that every
child, regardless of income, has access to quality preschool.”
