If this story doesn’t get us involved are we anything but accomplices?
I ask myself this while I’m planning the day’s perfect, educational and fun activities. As I ponder over which toy is the most beautiful and useful that I should purchase it. As I dream alongside my children what their future holds. Are they free, if children are being held and tortured in their name? And if I do nothing, just look on in horror, will my children hate me for it, for my silent passive acceptance?
